How it Works
Q-Fi® employs advanced electromagnetic telemetry (EMT) to wirelessly transmit bottomhole pressure measurements to a ground-level receiver. This real-time data enables informed decision-making, prevents completion failures, and optimises well performance.
System Components Include
Q-Fi EMT Pressure Gauge: Transmits precision measurements of in-situ conditions using robust, field-tested sensors and electronics.
Q-Fi EMT Gauge Carrier: Houses the pressure gauge and an extended length battery pack.
Completion Contact Spring: forms part of the downhole EM antenna system needed to inject signals into the well casing and surrounding formation. Utilised only when torque anchors are not incorporated below the Gauge Carrier.
Q-Fi EM6 Surface Receiver Card: Detects and decodes EM signals transmitted by the downhole Q-Fi wireless gauge, with extracted data providing actionable insights for operators.
